Salutations, fair readers!
To begin, I am quite aware that it has been many days since I, your humble narrator, hath posted upon the blogge. I tend to be a very occupied man, and this is a reasonable alibi on my part. Thusly, I desire to make something clear to you, readers.
I, the Nerd, may not have the necessary amount of time each day to scroll a posting for the blogge. This does in fact mean that the "daily posting" idea is a bit of a fantasy in reality, and postings may happen to be very split up. I do intend to continue scrolling, but it will not be on a daily basis. However, depending on the day of the week, the special days will still remain intact.
With that said, let us recount the day.
In my Biology course, we prepared and reviewed for our pending examination on the immune system. In my Acting course, we wrote and rehearsed duet scenes to showcase the concept of tactics a character uses to overcome his obstacles. In my period of liberation, I went with a few companions to the pub and drank and ate and enjoyed ourselves. And in my Mathematics course, we had an examination which I'm unsure if I did well on.
During the theatrical rehearsal today, we continued our work choreographing the song "Roxie." That's about all that happened.
And now, we approach the mystery and insanity of...Le Paragraphe de l'amour!
Tomorrow is the day I go on my date. I'm not quite sure what to expect, so I'm just going to run in and hope that it's a good few hours. With that, I will close this paragraph.
As for the mysterious persona of A-II, there is little to report, regrettably.
With that, I believe everything that must be said has been, and thusly I shall close this posting by sending you all my regards and farewells.
This doth conclude the posting of the fair blogge The Mindless Ramblings of the Nerd for this day, the Eleventh of February, Year of our Lord Two-Thousand and Eleven. I do hope that you shall return to this blogge tomorrow to bear witness to another wonderful, enthralling, and intellectually-stimulating posting!
<CONCLUSION OF LINEAGE>

The Nerd is watching Casablanca.
Good evening, (ladies and) gents. I am currently insanely content as I sit drinking a Coca-Cola and eating some rice pudding and watching Casablanca. So I'm going to make this fast.
In Bio, we listened to a lecture about B-Cells and T-Cells and how they kill off antigens in our bodies. In Acting, we had a workshop on auditions and I got to perform my prepared monologue where I play DC supervillain Lex Luthor. It's intense. During off block, I went to lunch at Qdoba and hung around the band room. And in Math, we learned about the magic of The Calculus and derivatives.
During rehearsal, we ran some of the production numbers that have been choreographed (All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, Me and My Baby and Razzle Dazzle). We continued adding dancers to the latter, and other than that, not a great deal happened. Fun fact, though: For Razzle Dazzle, actors in ensemble are being charged to do fun things, like juggling and ribbon twirling or being a clown. But I stand alone in my talent in that I shall be spinning a plate on a stick. It's intense, and I'm not so bad considering it's my first day doing it. But I have my work cut out for me.
ROMANCE PARAGRAPH! WARNING!
Today I saw the girl I'll be going on a date with in my Acting class. We both expressed our mutual excitement. And after rehearsal, the same thing happened again. Not much to report after that.
As for the mysterious A2 update, she and I are talking regularly and we've definitely become closer as far as people go. It's rather awesome.
And now we reach...
COOL YOUTUBE VIDEO MONDAY! {w00t!}
Today's clip is from yesterday's line of Super Bowl advertisements. And yes, it's my favorite. And yes, it's the nerdiest. And yes, you've probably seen it.
Yep. Li'l Vader.

Absolutely adorable. And I wish my dad had that technology when I was a kid pretending to use the Force...
With that, I bid you all adieu. Peace.

The Nerd is really, really bad at updating the blog.
OK, I've really been awful at updating in recent days. I do apologize, and no, I don't have any good excuse.
With that, I have a headache. Let's make this fast.
Today I went to the mall and hung out with a few nerdy friends, my brother left for college after spending the weekend with us, and there was some football game on TV.
Be warned. Here there be a Romance Paragraph...
Well, I got a date. With a girl. Huzzah! She's a fellow nerd and a film buff, and I'm excited to see what happens with this. I'd express more exuberant joy, but I have a God-awful headache, as I said.
So, here's a special football-related...
QUOTE OF THE WEEK! (ow, my head...)
"Sure, luck means a lot in football. Not having a good quarterback is bad luck." ~Don Shula
Now, I'm going to take some aspirin and sleep. Peace out.

The Nerd didn't post yesterday...
...and I don't have a good reason as to why, my dear readers. It just totally slipped my mind.
But the good news is, you didn't miss much! It was just another lazy snow day, and, in fact, you ought to be thanking me for sparing you from evil, evil abstract poetry.
But, sadly, we returned to school today. SO, let's recount the day's events.
Today, to go along with my newfound love for the sci-fi subgenre of steampunk, I chose to gang up with a few like-minded friends and wear Neo-Victorian clothes on what shall forever be known as STEAMPUNK THURSDAY.
In Biology, we listened to a long lecture about the immune system. In Acting, we did some work with past lives of characters and demonstrated how past lives and given circumstances can totally change a scene. In my off hour, I went to Old Chicago's All-You-Can-Eat Pizza Buffet with my friends, and upon returning, took part in a chain of my friends laying on each other, something I coined a "clothes-on orgy" of sorts. And in Math Studies, we worked on our IA's (IB slang for Internal Assessments, or the part of the IB exam done before the actual exam in May).
In rehearsal, we ran our production numbers thus far, and got yelled at for being sloppy by our director and choreographer and vocal coach. But, as always, I still had fun and feel privileged to be there.
And now, we reach the occasion of the day...
COOL NERD PRODUCT THURSDAY! {waste your money!}
Today's product can be found on ThinkGeek, the greatest of all nerd shops on the web (thinkgeek.com).
And it is truly marvelous.
And how about a vase of 8-Bit Flowers for that special somebody in your life?
Oh, baby...
I think that about wraps it up, gang! Now...to sleep!

This, my friends, is an 8-Bit Wristwatch. Fully-functional, tells the time, and looks super-retro-awesome. You might want to pick up ThinkGeek's 8-Bit Tie or 8-Bit Hair Bow to go with it and be extra pixelly!
And how about a vase of 8-Bit Flowers for that special somebody in your life?

01 February 2011
The Nerd is being lazy.
Well, today was a snow day. And tomorrow shall be a snow day.
So I woke up at 2PM, watched some Doctor Who, put on Terry Gilliam's dystopian satire Brazil, ate some dinner, drank some tea, and was on Facebook. Not an exciting day, but one full of much-deserved relaxation.
No school events to report.
No rehearsal events to report.
No romance paragraph.
But something cool did happen today. Someone I've longed to transcend the line between acquaintance and true friend with expressed mutual interest in getting to know me better. On this evil place known as the internet, she'll go unnamed. BUT, this does symbolize the creation of a new paragraph of accounting, which I shall dub The A2 Paragraph for no specific reason whatsoever. What's there to say? I think she's funny, she's beautiful, she always has a smile on her face, and I'm giving her her own paragraph because I have no romantic chance at all with her. That's mere acceptance of the fact, friends. But yes. I'm quite excited to see how this will advance.
Now then, it's...
COOL PICTURE TUESDAY! [callooh! callay!]
...so let's get on with that.
Today's image comes from my friend's 4Chan collection, same as last week. And it is an image that, being the nerd I am, I find appalling due to it's complete lack of fact. In fact, there are a great deal of things wrong with this picture, and hopefully, readers, you're intelligent enough to see them.
With that, I'm off to be lazy some more. Peace!
