Greetings, planet Earth!
Y'know, I may not share a lot of traits with the comic strip character Garfield, but there are two things we share: A love for lasagna, and a SHEER HATRED FOR MONDAYS.
I hate Mondays. Having an awesome weekend of escape from school, then having to go right back to the very thing you were attempting to get away from is the worst feeling ever. It doesn't help when due to sickness and Martin Luther King Day, this is the very first Monday I've had to undergo this semester.
BUT...
Strangely enough, today was kind of awesome. At school, I rocked my exam in Biology, had a lot of fun in Acting, went to Yogurtland and Kolache Factory during my off-block, and did virtually nothing in Math Studies. Some students would kill for a day so relaxed. Not to mention that I had a ball at rehearsal for my school's musical (Chicago) and I, a mere player in the Ensemble, have received the immense honor of getting to speak a line from the Master of Ceremonies (the one preceding the Cell Block Tango, if you're familiar with the show), and that's just plain freakin' awesome. As of now, I'm featured twice in the show outside of being an all-important background character. The first was just discussed, but I also get to perform the role of Harry, the guy who gets caught in bed with two women by his girlfriend and promptly gets a cap popped in his ass. (Pardon my "gangsta" terminology.)
SO YES. Today was pretty damn awesome in spite of being a Monday.
On another subject, let it noted for all readers of this blog that I am a hopeless romantic. So I'll probably write a lot about women that I admire/have feelings for in these posts, because sadly, it's a larger part of my existence than I'd like.
Now, there are plenty of girls out there I admire and wouldn't mind getting to know better and being in a relationship with, but most of them are dating other guys. However, there is one among them that I've really come to like a lot and who has recently been dumped by her now ex-boyfriend (What a dumbass...). Anyhow, she's insanely sweet, and really beautiful, and I probably stand more of a chance fighting the Rankor in the bottom of Jabba's Palace than hooking up with her, but hey. A guy can hope. She's talented, wonderful, and a really cool girl overall, and I'd love to just get closer to her as a friend, or better yet date her.
(Over the information superhighway, she'll obviously go unnamed. And for those that know me, no, I'm not saying anything.)
Now, since I'm done musing over my day, allow me to remind you all of the special occasion for this day of the week:
COOL YOUTUBE VIDEO MONDAY! [insert fanfare here]
So, today's video is a short independent film set in the mythos of Christopher Nolan's Batman films. I chose to share this video with you for two reasons.
I. I am a filmmaker, and at the moment, I myself am shooting a Batman fan film (an adaptation of Brian Azzarello's JOKER, if anyone's familiar with it.).
II. It's insanely well-executed in terms of acting and technical work. And whoever the director of photography is, I want to hug him.
Enjoy, and have a lovely evening.
This concludes the posting of The Mindless Ramblings of the Nerd for 24 January 2010. I hope to see you tomorrow for another exciting installment!
<END OF LINE>
Ok, EPIC video clip. How I wish that I could make something even close to as amazing as that.
ReplyDelete...and I am EXTREMELY jealous of your Monday.
That was a cool clip dude. And another thing. You went to yogurt factory?! Dude I'm jealous.
